A couple weeks ago I asked for suggestions on where the Signal Akron team should hold its weekly meeting. Thanks to everyone who responded. We’ve got a list of local places to visit. This week we met at SRINA Tea House & Cafe in the Kenmore neighborhood. Thanks to reader Kyle Kutuchief for suggesting it.

Have an upcoming event to share or a suggestion for Signal Akron’s Culture & Arts team? Fill out this form.

Three things to do this weekend:

Musica will host Rock the Cause Friday with performances from Pink Maskerade, Melted Strawberry, Mighty Misc, Missingno and Vincent Monk. The concert will raise money for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, which provides free medical care to injured and ill children. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m.

Stop by R. Shea Brewing at Canal Place on Saturday for Tainted Love. More than 30 vendors will be on hand at the “alternative Valentine’s market,” including local businesses J. Paris Designs, Lele’s Leaf & Vine and Sand Witch and Sage. The market goes from 2 to 7 p.m.

On Sunday, bring your little ones to Family Day: Storytelling at the Akron Art Museum. Akron-Summit County Public Library, Elizabeth’s Bookshop & Writing Centre, Wick Poetry Center and other community partners will be on hand to celebrate the museum’s current exhibit, “RETOLD: African American Art & Folklore.” The event will give guests of all ages the chance to explore the exhibit through dancing, storytelling and visual art.
