On a warm October morning, Woodrow Nash took a short break from his work to give a tour of his sprawling South Akron studio. As he walked, the conversation shifted to the Sojourner Truth statue. His life-size bronze sculpture of the famous abolitionist was unveiled in 2024. The project was years in the making and faced several challenges, including in Nash’s personal life.
