Summit County Issue 1

Proposed Tax Levy (Renewal and Increase)

A renewal of 2.95 mills and an increase of 0.5 mill for each $1 of taxable value to constitute a tax for the benefit of the County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADM) Board for the purpose of mental health and recovery programs for children, adults, and families for the County service district, and for the acquisition, construction, renovation, financing, maintenance and operation of the County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services (ADM) Board facilities that the county fiscal officer estimates will collect $46,539,037 annually, at a rate not exceeding 3.45 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $75 for each $100,000 of the county fiscal officer’s appraised value, for 6 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.

Summit County Issue 2

Proposed Charter Amendment

Shall the Summit County Charter be amended to limit taxation pursuant to Ohio Law and the Ohio Constitution; and shall the Summit County Charter be amended to place a limitation on unvoted property taxes under the Charter to 2.2 mills and prohibit the increase of property taxes greater than 3% annually in aggregate?

Here are the school levies on the ballot in the Akron area, including Tallmadge City School District, Jackson Local School District, Cuyahoga Falls City School District and Springfield Local School District.

Akron and Summit County tax issues, zoning and charter amendments

Here are the tax levies, zoning and charter amendments for Summit County and Akron including: charter amendments in Barberton, Cuyahoga Falls, Hudson and Stow; tax issues in Macedonia, New Franklin, Norton, Peninsula, Boston Township, Coventry Township, Northfield Center Township and Springfield Township.

Akron-area liquor options

Akron, Green, Northfield Center Township, Springfield Township and Norton are each placing a liquor option before voters.
