Get your popcorn, peanuts and candy here. The Summit Sweet Stroll, consisting of 20 ice cream, popcorn and candy stores throughout Summit County, launched Aug. 2.

The new initiative from the Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau (ASCVB)  encourages area residents to visit their favorite shops or try new ones.

“We’re excited to support our local shops and believe participants will enjoy exploring the unique treats and experiences our region has to offer,” said Gregg Mervis, president and CEO of the ASCVB, in a news release announcing the stroll.

Participants can pick up a passport at any of the participating locations (listed below) — there’s also a digital option, but combinations of the two won’t be accepted — when you visit and make a purchase, you’ll earn a stamp on the passport.

Once you collect a stamp from at least 16 locations, you will have successfully completed your passports, which you can then submit to the ASCVB to receive a limited-edition ice cream scoop, along with an entry into a grand prize package worth $250.

Complete and submit your passport by May 29, 2026. Visit the ASCVB’s website for the full rules and more information. If you have questions, contact Ty Johnson at 330-374-7576 or email tjohnson@visitakron-summit.org.
