The Akron Symphony Orchestra is delighted to announce the return of its annual Holiday Pops concert, an event that has become a cornerstone of the community’s holiday celebrations.
The concert will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 7:30 PM at the iconic EJ Thomas Hall on the University of Akron campus.
Perfect for audiences of all ages, this cherished tradition brings together families and friends for a joyous evening of festive music, dazzling performances, and holiday cheer. Whether it’s your first time attending or a yearly tradition, Holiday Pops is sure to ignite the holiday spirit in everyone.
This year’s concert promises to be an extraordinary celebration, featuring an impressive lineup of guest artists and ensembles. The Akron Symphony Orchestra will be joined by tenor Daniel Doty, whose powerful voice will bring holiday classics to life, and the Summit Bells handbell choir, adding a unique and enchanting dimension to the program. The Akron Symphony Chorus and the uplifting Gospel Meets Symphony Choir will deliver stirring renditions of holiday favorites. Adding youthful energy and talent, students from Firestone CLC – Akron School for the Arts Symphonic Choir will take the stage as well.
