It’s a busy fall weekend in Akron, one of the busiest we’ve seen in a while, so there are a lot of choices if you’re looking for something to do.
We put our search skills to work and drummed up this quick, non-comprehensive list — be sure to check out Brittany Moseley’s fall festival offerings as well. It will keep you busy into November.
Weather-wise, the forecast for Saturday looks great and fallish, with a high of 69 degrees and sun. Sunday may prove more challenging, with a 50% chance of showers and a high of 74 degrees.

Fire Truck Pull, Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls at 11 a.m. Grab nine friends and see if you all have what it takes to pull a Cuyahoga Falls fire truck — all 40,000 pounds of it — 40 feet in the fastest time.
Fall into Nature, Bath Nature Preserve, 4160 Ira Road, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bath Township will host an afternoon of seasonal activities, including face painting, hayrides and a pumpkin patch, at the picturesque Bath Nature Preserve.
Wonderfest, 88 Oakdale Ave., noon to 7 p.m. Celebrate Akron’s West Hill neighborhood at this arts and culture festival.
Fall Family Outing, Munroe Falls Metro Park, 521 S. River Road, Munroe Falls, 1 to 9 p.m. Take in a lumberjack show, go on a hayride and enjoy refreshments, naturalist activities and bonfires at this all-day event hosted by Summit Metro Parks.
Power of a Dream Domestic Violence Workshop: “The Hush – The Hand that Rocks the Cradle,” sponsored by Sisters Helping Sisters Ministries, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Maple Valley Branch Library, 1187 Copley Road. St. Mary Church restoration campaign fundraiser at St. Sebastian’s Zwisler Hall, 6:30 p.m. Features a drum-off and battle of the bands. The “Second Century” campaign is designed to refurbish and restore areas of St. Mary Church and school.

Akron Zips women’s soccer vs. Ohio at FirstEnergy Stadium, 1 p.m.
The Speakeasy Sessions Open Mic Night at Baxter’s Speakeasy, 22 N. High St., 7 to 10 p.m.

Ohio Mart, Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, 714 N. Portage Path, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. From ceramics and jewelry to furniture and art, there’s something for everyone at this annual showcase of artisans.
Harvest Festival, Hale Farm and Village, 2686 Oak Hill Road, Bath, Oct. 5, 6, 12 and 13, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. all days. This annual festival gives guests the chance to explore seasonal traditions, including an apple cider press and apple butter making, at a working 19th century farm.
