Here are three things to do in Akron this weekend.

Your Akron weekend plans

The Rialto Theatre is celebrating its 10th anniversary in May with a packed schedule of events. Head to the Kenmore club on Friday for performances from Zach & the Bright Lights, Church of Starry Wisdom, Creating Lewis and Minus The Alien. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. (Guests 21 and younger must pay a $5 surcharge at the door.) Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30. The Rialto is also offering passes for those who plan to attend multiple concerts throughout the month. They start at $50 for six shows and go to $100 for unlimited performances.

Enjoy performances from Inlet Dance Theatre, Dancing Wheels Company, Ohio Contemporary Ballet and more at CDF | Akron Concert Series on Friday and Saturday. Now in its second year, the two-day event is an offshoot of The Movement Project’s Cleveland Dance Fest. Both shows are at 7 p.m. at Firestone Community Learning Center. Tickets are pay-what-you-can and can be reserved online in advance or purchased at the door.

On Sunday, join the Akron Area Interfaith Council for its 16th annual Hunger Walk. Participants should meet at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Akron. Registration opens at 2 p.m., and the walks starts at 3 p.m. Attendees can choose between a one- or two-mile route. Both end back at the church. All Hunger Walk donations go directly to the Akron-Canton Foodbank. Those who cannot attend but would still like to donate can do so online.
