Step One: Commit to Your First Race

The Acme Fresh Market Foundation 1 Mile & 8K on June 27 is the perfect place to begin. It’s your first milestone, your first finish line, and a chance to experience the excitement of race day early in your journey.

Held at InfoCision Stadium, the event features an unforgettable on-field finish and a post-race celebration inside the stadium, complete with fresh snacks and a festive atmosphere. This year also introduces the Acme Fresh Family 1 Mile, welcoming runners, walkers, families, kids, and even strollers to be part of the experience.

From your first step in May to your first finish line in June, it’s all about building momentum.

Step Two: Go Further

As your training continues, so does your journey.

The Goodyear Half Marathon & 10K on Aug. 8 offers the next challenge—an opportunity to push your distance, test your progress, and take the next step toward your goals. Rooted in Goodyear’s legacy of innovation and performance, this race delivers an iconically Akron experience, culminating with a finish line at Goodyear’s world headquarters and a lively post-race celebration.

By this point, you’re not just training—you’re becoming a runner.

Step Three: Reach the Blue Line

All roads lead to Sept. 26 and the FirstEnergy Akron Marathon, Half Marathon & Team Relay—the signature event and ultimate celebration of your journey.

This unforgettable course takes participants on a foot-tour through the heart of Akron, highlighting historic landmarks, vibrant neighborhoods, and scenic Summit Metro Parks. From the Akron Art Museum and The University of Akron to the Towpath Trail, Sand Run Parkway, West Akron, and Highland Square, every mile tells a story— powered by the energy of the course and the spectators who carry you to the iconic Blue Line finish at Lock 3.

Participants can take on the full marathon, half marathon, or join a relay team to conquer 26 miles together.

Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering, it’s a moment that represents months of commitment, growth, and determination.
