Now in its 31st year, Gospel Meets Symphony is a beloved annual celebration that unites the Akron Symphony Orchestra with the dynamic Gospel Meets Symphony Choir, an ensemble of over 125 voices drawn from over 40 churches across Northeast Ohio. Under the leadership of Gospel Meets Symphony Choir Director Jonathan Turner and Akron Symphony Music Director Christopher Wilkins, this concert showcases a powerful blend of symphonic and gospel traditions, creating an unforgettable experience for audiences of all backgrounds.
