A winter storm this weekend could bring up to 6 inches of snow to Summit and the surrounding counties. If that happens, it could mean prime sledding conditions. 

When that fresh powder falls, here are some local sledding hills to check out.

Bath Nature Preserve – Guests can access the sledding hill via the trailhead at 1615 N. Cleveland-Massillon Road. Park at the Bath Community Center Shelter lot. Head west through the roadway underpass and follow the trail about one-quarter mile.

Cascade Valley Metro Park (lighted) – 1061 Cuyahoga St., Akron

Firestone Metro Park –  55 E. Warner Road, Akron

Furnace Run Metro Park – 4955 Townsend Road, Richfield

Goodyear Heights Metro Park (lighted) – 2077 Newton St., Akron

Munroe Falls Metro Park (lighted) – 521 S. River Road, Munroe Falls

Sand Run Metro Park (lighted) –  800 N. Hawkins Ave., Akron

Cuyahoga Valley National Park – Sledding is available at Kendall Hills on Quick Road in Peninsula, about one mile east of Akron Peninsula Road. Guests can park at the Pine Hollow, Crow Foot Gully and Little Meadow lots. 

Hudson Springs Park – 7095 Stow Road, Hudson

Boettler Park – 5300 Massillon Road, Green
