Akron’s warming centers, shelters need your help during prolonged extreme cold
This week’s extreme cold weather has Akron’s warming centers and overnight shelters busy and seeking volunteers. Haven of Rest Ministries, the Akron Emergency Overnight Warming Center and Summit Lake Community Center are all providing assistance for the city’s residents seeking shelter from the cold.
Signal Akron Government Reporter Doug Brown will explain how government works and help empower Akronites to make the city work better, particularly those in underserved or under-represented communities.
