Spend your time

The food bank is looking for volunteers for select shifts at both the Main and Stark County campuses.

Interested individuals or groups may volunteer in the pantry, sign in guests, pack orders, restock items or help with guest registration/intake.

There are also opportunities for volunteers to assist with food rescue program delivery, neighborhood distributions, office duties, warehouse management and special events.

First-time volunteers must fill out an application with their availability and volunteer interests.

Returning volunteers may self-schedule their shifts through the Volunteer Information Center.

Ways to find food assistance

Find a food program (pantries, meal sites and other hunger-relief programs)

The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank partners with nearly 600 organizations to provide hunger relief. Visit the online database to find a program near you. The interactive map allows you to find locations for securing a meal or take-home groceries.

You can schedule an appointment for pantry pickup or even arrange for someone to pick up the food for you.

When visiting a food program, be sure to bring your ID or driver’s license. If someone is picking up food on your behalf, they must have a proxy letter.
