The Housing Appeals Board granted 30-day extensions to three properties previously recommended for demolition. The board heard testimony from three separate owners (two residing outside of Akron, one residing locally). The board voted unanimously on motions to demolish four blighted homes whose owners’ whereabouts are unknown, in addition to two blighted homes for which demolition waivers were signed and submitted by the owners.
