Previous public office: none

Website: scholo.org/boston

Campaign email address: njanigian1460@gmail.com

Training/experience: Corporate finance and investment banking professional

Why are you the best candidate for the office?

I am a ~10 year corporate finance professional with extensive experience in reviewing large budgets, probing financial records, and identifying and executing cost reduction initiatives as well as growth and development opportunities

If elected, I will not have the ability to pass anything without the vote of a second trustee, but I will have the ability to ensure that our meeting’s minutes are accurate and that executive sessions are not misused; I believe I am the only candidate running capable of creating this culture of transparency

What are the top priorities you seek to address once in office?

  • Creating a culture of accountability and transparency
  • Seek and execute on positive development opportunities for the Township’s Business District
  • Ending misuse of executive sessions and ensuring minutes are accurate
  • Ensuring fiscal responsibility as a fiduciary of the township’s budget

What strategies will you use to accomplish those priorities?

  • I will proactively seek out developers and businesses that will have a long term positive impact to develop the Township’s Business District
  • I will scrutinize budgets/appropriations, expenses as they are incurred, and review and negotiate terms of contracts to ensure that Boston Township’s funds are being used as wisely and as efficiently as possible
  • If I am asked to approve meeting minutes that I do not feel reflect the proper extent of each meeting, I will vote no and I will post on my website why I voted no
  • I will advocate for increased public disclosures on the township’s website, and if I do not feel they are sufficiently transparent, I will request the records and post them on my website
